Prenatal Yoga Series
Join me for a 6-week prenatal yoga series, designed to be supportive and nurturing for pregnancy. This unique class series will go beyond simply modifying yoga poses, and will also celebrate community, incorporate mindfulness meditation, and strive to make participants as comfortable as possible by addressing any aches or pains in the body.
Each class includes postures that bring balance and alignment to the pelvis and pelvic floor, strength to the lower body, and tension relief to the upper back and shoulders. We will also explore restorative postures that encourage focus on the breath, and offer a chance to bond with the baby.
This mindful exploration will leave you feeling more prepared, supported and nurtured for whatever lies ahead in your pregnancy, birth, and beyond. Participants at any stage of pregnancy are welcome to join.
For centuries, indigenous communities in Central America have embraced cacao as a sacred tool for connection and nourishment, fostering spiritual insight and wellbeing. This is a space to slow down, practice gratitude, and immerse in mindfulness. Our gathering will begin in a circle with guided meditation and gentle movement practice. Everyone will then be offered a cup of ceremonial cacao and guided through the sensory experience of sipping and enjoying with intention. Cacao's natural compounds encourage the release of serotonin and dopamine, promoting relaxation, reflection, and heart-centered awareness. Some people find emotional release, others gain clarity, and for many it's simply a grounding experience. There will be opportunity for more movement, dance, and song, and we will close the ceremony with a supportive savasana and sound bath. We hope that you are able to carry a sense of connection and grounding with you beyond the ceremony.
